Bio
Dr. Amit Sharad Patel was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High School where he played varsity Basketball. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Engineering Science. He then received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency training in Otolaryngology Head and neck surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then joined the Faculty at the University of Michigan Department of Otolaryngology as an clinical Instructor.
He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is a member of the American medical association, Tennessee Medical Association, and American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He also a member of the Triological Society Social media committee. Dr. Patel enjoys practicing the complete breadth of otolaryngology, with particular interest in minimally invasive office surgical techniques, allergy, sinus surgery, pediatric ENT, and endocrine surgery.
Dr. Patel enjoys the outdoors, exercising, playing basketball, as well as traveling abroad. He is also an avid sports fan and loves to go to Titans and Vanderbilt games.
