Allergy & ENT Associates of Middle Tennessee, founded in 1973 by Dr. C.K. Hiranya Gowda, MD, originally opened in Donelson, TN. In 1996, the practice relocated to Hermitage, TN at the Summit Medical Center Campus. Dr. Gowda continued to practice Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery until his retirement in 2006. Shortly after Dr. Gowda’s retirement, the practice moved to its current location in the Summit Outpatient Center. In 2009, the practice was renamed to Allergy & ENT Associates of Middle Tennessee. Hoping to offer a more accessible location for patients from Wilson County and the surrounding counties, a second location opened in August of 2019 on South Hartmann Drive in Lebanon, TN. In November 2024, Allergy & ENT Associates of Middle TN opened a third office located at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West.Â

- Dr. G. Lee Bryant, Jr. M.D., F.A.A.O.A., Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1992 and has been with our practice since 1998.Â
- Dr. D. Scott Fortune M.D., F.A.A.O.A., Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1993 and has been with our practice since 1999.Â
- Dr. Justin Morgan M.D., F.A.A.O.A., Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, received his medical degree from The University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2000 and has been with our practice since 2009.Â
- Dr. Robert Frank M.D., F.A.A.O.A., Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, received his medical degree from The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2012 and has been with our practice since 2017.Â
- Dr. Amit Patel M.D., F.A.A.O.A., Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine in 2013 and has been with our practice since 2019.Â
- Dr. Matthew Speyer M.D., Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, received his medical degree from The University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1991 and has been with our practice since 2024.Â
- Dr. Mitchel Sauvageau D.O., Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University- DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014 and has been with our practice since 2024.Â
- Dr. Marissa Mencio M.D., F.A.C.S., Board Certified by the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, received her medical degree from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014 and has been with our practice since 2023. She is a general surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of thyroid and parathyroid disease.
Our practice continues to follow the high standards for excellence in patient care as established by Dr. Gowda. Our Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers offer treatments for a wide range of adult and pediatric diseases of the ear, nose and throat, including but not limited to:
